Abdulmalik Abubakar Gajam, born in Gusau, Zamfara State, is a distinguished figure in business and politics, currently serving as the Commissioner for the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning in Zamfara State. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and Business Information System from Middlesex University in Dubai and completed his MBA at Nile University in Abuja, Nigeria. Before entering politics, Abdulmalik Gajam excelled as a businessman in Real Estate, International Marketing, and Agriculture, overseeing companies like Habigamo Solutions Int Ltd, Intellum Bureau de Change, and Tug Luxury Living Ltd. Establishing the Youth Liaison Movement, focused on educating and empowering youth in politics and inclusivity, Abdulmalik actively engages in international activities, including peacekeeping and conflict resolution programs. Appointed Commissioner for Budget and Planning in August 2023, he has chaired key committees in Zamfara State and holds the traditional title of Lamidon Zamfara.
