Adamu Abubakar
Executive Director, Centre for Community Excellence Zamfara (CENCEX)
Adamu Abubakar, from Kotorkoshi, Zamfara State, Nigeria, is the Executive Director of the Centre for Community Excellence Zamfara (CENCEX). With over 16 years of experience in Nigeria's Humanitarian and Development sectors, he holds an MSc in Policy and Development Studies from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a master’s degree in health economics from Bayero University, Kano, both in Nigeria. Specializing in Conflict and Security, Peacebuilding, and Safety and Security procedures, Adamu has an excellent understanding of Nigeria’s North-western context. Previous roles include Deputy Project Coordinator at MSF Holland, Project Coordinator Assistant/Security Focal at MSF Spain, and Field Coordinator Assistant/Security Focal point for Solidarites International. Adamu's academic journey includes a Bachelor's in Local Government & Development Studies, a Higher Diploma, and a Diploma in Local Government Studies, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. Adamu is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Conflict & Security Studies at Bayero University in Kano.
