Alix Masson
Senior Advocacy Advisor, Network for Empowered Aid Response
Alix Masson is a Senior Advocacy Advisor with the Network for Empowered Aid Response (NEAR), where she has been working since 2019. She is a global professional in the development and humanitarian sectors. She is a localization leader and brings a Global South collective voice to different global spaces. She currently co-chairs the IASC Localisation Task Force and is the focal point in the Grand Bargain Facilitation Group. She provides technical support to local actors and their networks in various contexts to strengthen their localization advocacy.
She is a youth development expert, having worked for 15 years in program design, empowerment of young leaders, youth policy, and advocacy across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
She is a professional certified coach and a trained journalist. Her background is in public law.
Alix is French and has resided in Nairobi since 2015.
