Frederik Schutyser has been deputy head of Unit in DG ECHO since the end of 2020. His unit is responsible for the development and implementation of policies in the field of humanitarian aid, which ranges from displacement to nutrition, from disaster preparedness to IHL. Before joining DG ECHO, Frederik has worked in the Commission’s DG MARE and Secretariat-General. Prior to joining the Commission he worked with different organisations in the fields of sustainable development, environment and energy.
