Harpinder (Pin) Collacott is the Executive Director for Mercy Corps in Europe, providing strategic leadership and oversight of Mercy Corps’ European entities, whilst ensuring deep alignment with the global strategy and programmatic priorities. Harpinder combines deep knowledge and expertise of global issues, international development, and foreign policy with a solid understanding of the challenges of poverty, conflict and crisis on the ground. She applies her on-the-ground experience with her knowledge of engagement and communications strategies to shape and influence policy. Harpinder was the Chief Executive of Development Initiatives, bringing data and evidence into the policy space and supporting partners to tackle poverty, inequality and build resilience. Over the last 25 years, her roles have included Political Advisor to the Prosecutor with the War Crimes Tribunal for Sierra Leone, Human Rights Programme Officer for The Oak Foundation, and South Asia Researcher for the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
