Jakob Wernerman is the Director of Humanitarian Assistance at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The Humanitarian Unit manage Sida’s annual humanitarian allocation which in 2023 amounts to over 5 billion SEK, in approximately 40 humanitarian crises worldwide.

Jakob has also a background as both a technical expert and as a manager in humanitarian affairs, emergency preparedness and disaster risk reduction from various different roles within the Swedish government administration as well as the UN-system.
