José Gabriel Martín Fernández is a MSc Chemical Engineer from the University of Salamanca (Spain) and both a Master of Renewable Energy & Energy Market and a Master of Business Administration -ACCIONA in company- from the EOI -acronym for Industrial Organization School (Spain)-. In 2003, he started his career as a consultant of renewable energy & climate change at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. In 2007, he joined ACCIONA for the management of projects related to the company business model in the innovation area. In 2012, he changed to acciona.org, the ACCIONA’s corporate foundation, to work as a manager coordinating the design and the implementation of innovative service delivery models to benefit underserved population with affordable, reliable electricity in Peru and Mexico mainly. Since 2017, he is the director of acciona.org leading the expansion of the activity of the foundation to both other countries around the world, such as Panama, Chile, or Philippines up to now, and other services, such as water, sanitation, and cooking.
