Lara Evans
Social Protection Advisor, USAID
Ms. Evans has been in and around the field of international development since childhood. She grew up in Honduras while her father was serving as Peace Corps staff. Lara herself began her career in international development by serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ghana. Lara holds a BS in International Studies with a minor in Anthropology from James Madison University and an MS in Development Management with a focus on Anthropology from American University School of International Studies. Lara has worked in the private sector, in NGOs and has been with USAID for last eleven years focused on food security, economic inclusion and social protection. She has over 24 years experience in the international development field.
