Maksym Dotsenko, the Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, holds master's degrees in Business Management and Public Administration. Currently pursuing a PhD in Politology, his research focuses on the political and legal aspects of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society's activities in the context of an international armed conflict. Commencing his career as an analyst in 2004, Dotsenko has undertaken pivotal roles at the Regional State Labour Inspection, the State Labour Inspection of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. In 2020, he assumed the position of Director General at URCS. As the leader of Ukraine's largest humanitarian organisation, Maksym focuses on ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of humanitarian aid for the country's most vulnerable populations. His leadership underscores the convergence of humanitarian efforts with development initiatives and recovery, aligning seamlessly with the principles of localisation.
