Mandy Yamanis is the Director of GOAL’s new Global Partnership Centre, which is based in Uganda. Mandy was appointed to this role in October 2023 and before that, Mandy was GOAL’s Global Safeguarding Advisor for five years. In her role as the Global Partnership Centre Director, Mandy is leading the Centre in identifying local partners (civil society, local government agencies, private sector, academic institutions, and community-based organisations) for strategic investment and she will drive training and technical guidance to strengthen their leadership and governance and facilitate networking and collaboration. Mandy’s career which has primarily focused on Child Protection and Safeguarding began over 17 years ago with World Vision International in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. During the Syrian refugee and migrant response in 2016, Mandy worked for Save the Children International in Greece as a Safeguarding Advisor. She then spent two years as a Consultant, working on a variety of projects, and acted as Coordinator for the Global Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Forum to End Violence against Children.
