Mr. Marwan Jilani is the Vice-President of Palestine Red Crescent Society and former Director General. Prior to taking up his role with PRCS Mr. Jilani occupied a number of senior management positions at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) including, head of Mekong Country Cluster Support Team (CCST) based in Bangkok, Thailand; Head of Delegation and Permanent Observer of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to the United Nations in New York from 2009 to 2016; and Head of the Middle East and North Africa regional office of the IFRC, based in Amman, Jordan, from 2007 to 2009.

Mr. Jilani also held senior positions with the Palestinian Authority including Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Deputy Permanent Observer to the UN.
