Najmuddin Najm
Chief Executive Officer, Aga Khan Foundation, Afghanistan
Dr. Najmuddin Najm has served in several capacities within the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). He is currently the AKDN Coordinator in Afghanistan. He has also been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) in Afghanistan since April 2019. He previously served as Deputy CEO of AKF Afghanistan from 2017 to 2019, before which he served as Regional Director of AKF from 2009 to 2016.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Najmuddin headed the Aga Khan Health Services cross-border mission based in Khorog, GBAO, Tajikistan between 2004 and 2008. He first joined AKF in 2004.
Dr. Najmuddin obtained an MA in Conflict, Security, and Development from the Department of Social Sciences, University of Bradford, UK in 2017. He attended the Leadership Development Programme at the Executive Education Department, IESE Business School of the University of Navarra, in Barcelona, Spain in 2015. Dr. Najmuddin has also completed several professional training courses during last years.
