Nisar Majid
Research Director, LSE
Dr Nisar Majid has worked in and on the Somali-speaking regions of the Horn of Africa since the late 1990s. He has a background in food security and livelihoods, humanitarianism, diaspora studies and political economy analysis. He has worked with a wide range of agencies in the region. He is co-author of Famine in Somalia, Competing Imperatives, Collective Failure?, and is currently Research Director at the LSE-PeaceRep research programme, leading the work on Somalia and the Somali regions.
