Noor Azizah
Co-founder and Director of Advocacy, International Relations, and Women's Leadership, Rohingya Maìyafuìnor
Noor Azizah, a resilient Rohingya refugee, is the co-founder of the Rohingya Maìyafuìnor Collaborative Network. A human rights advocate with degrees from the University of Sydney, she earned recognition as one of YAIA's Young Women to Watch in International Affairs (2022) and won the 2023 Stellar South Asian Women Awards. Serving as a One Young World Ambassador (2023) and Australian delegate for the Young Pacific Leaders Conference (2023), Noor collaborated with influential figures like Cate Blanchett, Craig Foster, and Adam Liaw. A refugee delegate at the UN in Geneva, she actively advocated for Rohingya women at The Global Refugee Forum (2019) and was appointed a refugee expert for the 2023 Global Refugee Forum, contributing to discussions on GBV, Education, and Statelessness. Noor holds a crucial role on Australia’s inaugural Refugee Advisory Panel, contributing to organizations like the Gender Audit Team (UNSW & UNHCR) and the ATCR Refugee Steering Group. Currently, an English as a Second Dialect Specialist teacher in Sydney, she serves as a Rohingya refugee consultant, emphasizing her commitment to a meaningful global impact.
