Sajid Raihan
Country Manager, Start Fund Bangladesh
I have more than 15 years of experience in a leadership role, and 7 years of experience in managing a humanitarian network. In my current role, I have the overall responsibility of facilitating civil-society managed pooled-fund mechanisms for anticipatory early actions and humanitarian response. It is recognised as a key humanitarian platform in Bangladesh; and as one of the most impactful pooled funds globally. I am also an SMT member of Start Network.
in 2013, one of the projects I managed, won the UNFCCC MOMENTUM for CHANGE award in the “women for results” category. I authored two study reports on understanding climate change and financing local adaptation.
I have a master’s in international development from the University of Manchester, UK.
