Saria Akkad is a dedicated humanitarian professional with extensive experience in coordination, partnerships, and advocacy within the humanitarian sector.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Damascus University and is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration from the University of the People.
With more than ten years of experience in the humanitarian context with leadership roles in six NGOs, currently with the Syrian NGO Alliance SNA as SNA coordinator (SNA is a local coordination and advocacy network consisting of 25 local NGOs working for Syria response based in Turkey), Akkad has facilitated coordination among members, managed partnerships, and advocated for the needs of Syrians affected by crises. His previous experiences include roles such as Partnership Coordinator and Gaziantep Office Manager, and various other positions focused on project management, capacity building, and advocacy within humanitarian organizations operating in Syria and neighbouring countries.
Akkad has also participated in courses and workshops on negotiation skills, building partnerships, communication, and leadership skills.
