Tomas Tobé has been serving as Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Development since the 2019 European elections. During his tenure, he has actively contributed to the work of the Committee, notably, as Rapporteur for Parliament's report on improving development effectiveness and the efficiency of aid, as well as on the report on the implementation of the implementation of the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument - Global Europe. Prior to being elected as an MEP, Mr. Tobé was an elected Member of the Swedish Parliament, where he also served as committee chair.
